The expansive landscape, winding roads, sunlit hills of Tuscany and the beautiful church of the Madonna di San Biagio (built between 1518–1545) provide a picturesque setting and motivated me to paint this scene. I chose a colorful palette to give warmth and life to the piece and a more limited palette to keep the colors pure and vibrant.
