My wife and I were in England in the mid-1990's where I took many photographs of the Cotswolds. I was captivated by the scenery and have wanted to paint it for sometime. I wanted to challenge myself and make the horses and their riders a significant part of the painting. The village of Lower Slaughter with it's golden limestone, which is unique to the area, has great charm and is quite picturesque.
