After experiencing the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race in person, I decided I wanted to create a racing scene focused on three particular ships that have all participated in the event on occasion.  The Schooner Virginia is in the foreground depicted on a reach, having made the turn for home.  The Spirit of South Carolina and the Blue Nose II are neck and neck not too far behind!
