Heading home to the North End Shipyard in Rockland Harbor, the American Eagle has caught a good wind and is depicted rounding Owl’s Head Light.  The Eagle is a Gloucester style schooner launched in 1930, a member of the Maine Windjammer Fleet, and has been designated a National Historic Landmark.  Her graceful lines and rigging thankfully have been meticulously restored to the way they were originally, after many years of hard fishing off the New England coast.
