I wanted this painting to be reminiscent of some of the 19th century works by famous ship painters, i.e. Antonio Jacobson and James E. Buttersworth; painting it from the portside in a traditional style.  This broadside view of the “legendary lady” helps indicate the grand scale of the ship.  I am proud that the original painting is part of a prestigious private collection of maritime art, which is extremely gratifying.
